Set up a healing journal. You will be using this journal throughout the course to jot down notes, experiences, sensations, feelings, and insights that you encounter in each of the lessons.
The journal can be a bound book, but I find it most helpful to create an online journal. Open up your email account and set up a saved draft for keeping your journal. Everytime you add something to your journal, you simply save the draft again. Optionally you can also set up a notepad or word document on your computer.
You will use this journal to track insights and revelations throughout the course. It will also come in handy for the certification exam (if you are taking the advanced energy healing certification), as some questions will relate back to journal questions you are asked to complete in each lesson.
Course Completion Time
Each module is designed to take one week to complete. It may take you longer to complete each module. You may want to repeat some modules or refer back to them as you complete the course. This is a self-paced course so feel free to go at the rate you are comfortable.
It is not recommended that you try to complete a module in less than one week. You will most likely finish reading a module in one or two sittings, but the homework and practice sessions involved in each module will fill up a week of time.
You will get out of this course what you put into it. If you skip the homework, practice sessions, and journaling sections in each module, your "hands on experience" with the course will be diminished. Take your time. Learning energy healing is a process, a slow unfolding. Allow yourself to enjoy the journey rather than rush to the finish line.
Common Terms Found in this Course
You will find terms used in this course that you may not be familiar with. Here is a quick glossary of terms.
Energetic Structure: You have an energetic structure as well as a physical structure. Your energetic structure is often called the aura or human energy field. The term energetic structure refers to the energy version of you.
Chakra: A chakra is an energy center. There are seven major energy centers in you. Energy flows in, collects and flows out of these energy centers.

Hand Chakras: The hand chakras are located in the palms of your hands. During healing work you "activate" or increase the flow of healing energy coming from your hands.
Energy: Energy refers to infinite source of energy that comes from the universe. In this course, we refer to it as energy, healing energy and universal energy. These are not seperate types of energy, they are three different ways of describing the same energy.
