Essential Oils Recipes for Sleeping:
  • Relaxing Bath for Insomnia:
  • 5 drops of lavender oil
  • 3 drop of chamomile oil
  • 3 drop of Ylang Ylang oil
  • Instructions: Add the oils to a warm bath and soak for at least fifteen minutes.
  • Lavender Stress-Ease:
  • 2 drops of lavender oil
  • Apply one drop of lavender oil to each temple and gently massage. Also effective for headaches and migraines.
Essential Oils Recipes for Pain:
  • Exercise Body Rub:
  • 2 drops rosemary
  • 1 drop eucalyptus
  • 1 drop lavender
  • Instructions: Blend oils and add to 4 teaspoons of a carrier oil like almond or jojoba. Mix gently and apply to muscles before or after exercise.
    Headache and Migraine Relief:
  • 3 drops chamomile
  • 2 drops peppermint
  • 2 drops lavender
  • Instructions: Add all seven drops to 4 teaspoons of a carrier oil like almond or jojoba. Stir gently until mixed. Massage the blend into your shoulders (or find an angel to do it for you!) An alternative is to skip the carrier oil, and sniff the aromatherapy blend for 30 seconds every half hour.
Essential Oils Recipes for Colds, Congestion and Sinus Issues:
  • Chest Congestion and Sinuses:
  • 2 drops lemon
  • 2 drops tea tree
  • 2 drops eucalyptus
  • Add all 6 drops to a humidifier and breathe deeply from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. If you don't have a humidifier, use an aromatherapy diffuser or boil water on the stove and add oils to the hot water.
  • Cold-Care Bath:
  • 3 drops eucalyptus
  • 2 drops ginger
  • 2 drops echinacea
  • Add to a steaming bath and soak for fifteen minutes.
Essential Oils Recipes for Skin Care:
  • Scratches, Fungal Infections and Ringworm:
  • 3 drops rosemary
  • 2 drops tea tree
  • 2 drops eucalyptus
  • 1 drop palmarosa
  • Mix the essential oils into 1 teaspoon of a carrier oil like almond oil. Stir together and apply to your skin.
  • Sqeaky-Clean Face Wash for Beautiful Skin:
  • 1 drop chamomile
  • 1 drop olive leaf
  • 1 drop rose hip seed
  • 1 drop marshmallow (the oil not the food!)
  • Add the essential oils to a bowl with 2 ounces of spring water and stir. Dip an exfoliating sponge into the water, squeeze excess liquid out and gently rub face to exfoliate. When done, dip a washcloth into the remaining oil/water mix and rub face.
