CRYSTAL HEALING

Crystal Healing has been practiced by people throughout the world for thousands of years. The variety of uses are endless and references to crystals and gemstones are found in the histories of nearly every culture.

In Christian mythology, the city of New Jerusalem was described as follows: "It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst." In Exodus, the Christian god ordains precious stones to be used in the making of the breastpiece of the High Priests garments.

Egypt's rulers were buried with amulets and talismans of Carnelian, Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise, Quartz, and Gold. Egyptian pharaohs were buried with huge amounts of gold to assure the pharaoh's enjoyed themselves in the afterlife.

In Indian ayurvedic medicine, gemstone and crystal healing was related to astrology. Crystal and gemstone elixirs were made to help to balance and align the energetic bodies.

In China, jade has long been a symbol of prosperity and integrity. Crystals are also used extensively in Chinese Feng Shui.

Native Americans also made wide usage of crystal and gemstone healing as well as using flint and obsidian for practical uses such as making tools and weapons. Crystal skulls have been discovered in Mexico, Central America and South America. These crystal skulls represent some of the most fascinating archaeological finds in the 20th century.

TAP INTO NEW AGE HEALING CRYSTALS

Tanja and I have been collecting and using crystals our entire lives. I use crystals to enhance energy healing. One of my favorite pieces is a quartz, amethyst, and sodalite crystal wand designed to balance and enhance the third eye. I have been using it personally and professionally for many years now and have developed a great relationship with it. I also use a lovely lemurian seed crystal that a dear friend of mine gifted me with. I use it to enhance energy healing and to energetically draw Reiki symbols, pentagrams, and other things.

Tanja still has the first crystal she ever received, a large amethyst. She made a necklace using gem-quality amethyst and moldavite that literally radiates the power of positive transformation and connection with the divine. It's really an amazing piece.

Crystal and gemstone Healing has been used to relieve stress, boost confidence, enhance psychic skills, and to heal mind, body and spirit. Because crystals can be programmed to hold any kind of energy, the applications are endless. These energies can be tapped into in a wide variety of ways.

You can place crystals around your home, carry them in purse or pocket, and meditate while holding them. Crystals can be placed on various parts of the body while receiving energy work to increase the energy healing potential. Crystals and gemstones can be placed under your pillow to enhance lucid dreaming and aid in dream recall. Gemstone elixirs can be made for healing, guidance, protection and anything else you desire.

Depending on your personal belief system, you can develop a personal relationship with crystals and gemstones. I oftentimes refer to them as the Stone People. I feel that they are entities that have taken on the physical form of minerals. I speak to them and treat them with the same respect I give to all living things. If this works with your personal beliefs, I would encourage you to do the same. It can enhance your understanding of their purpose on the Earth.

Crystal and gemstone healing is also easy to combine with other energy healing techniques. You can use crystals to enhance reiki healing by channeling the reiki energy through the crystal. Crystals can be applied to musical instruments to enhance the sound healing effects. Meditation can be enhanced by holding crystals and gemstones. This is easily done with a strip of felt tied on like a headband with the stone under it against your third eye. As with all things, simply allow your intuition to be your guide. Imagination is a powerful tool.
