The Chakra Colors Meditation is a chakra balancing technique using visualization and deep breathing. The meditation is simple and very effective for opening and cleansing the chakras. When you are done here, visit the Energy Healing 101 section for more energy healing techniques and information.
You can do the Chakra Colors Meditation in the morning to prepare for the day. You can also do it anytime you feel drained. Cleansing chakras last thing at night is excellent for dream work. As with all chakra healing or energy healing techniques, nothing is set in stone. Feel free to change it in any way your intuition guides you to.
When you are ready to do the Chakra Colors Meditation, set aside fifteen to twenty minutes of quiet time. The meditation will open and balance each one of the seven major energy centers.

1) Sit or lay in a comfortable position.
2) Bring your attention to your breathing. Breathe in slowly through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
3) Visualize yourself walking into a grassy field surrounded by tall green trees. As you enter the field, the Sun rises. The sky is bright blue and the Sun shines warmly. The smell of the Earth is rich and clean and a light breeze blows. Your feet are bare and the ground is soft.
4) As you continue to breathe, bring your attention to your root chakra. As you do this, visualize thousands of red flowers blooming, completely covering the field. Focus on the beautiful red flowers. Continue doing this for about 10 breaths or as long as you wish.
5) Bring your attention to your sacral chakra. As you do this, visualize the flowers turning bright orange. Focus on the orange flowers for about 10 breaths.
6) Bring your attention to your solar chakra. As you do this, visualize the flowers turning bright yellow. Focus on the yellow flowers for about 10 breaths.
7) Bring your attention to your heart chakra. As you do this, visualize the field being filled with lush, green grass. Focus on the grass for about 10 breaths.
8) Bring your attention to your throat chakra. As you do this, visualize thousands of blue flowers blooming, completely covering the field. Focus on the blue flowers for about 10 breaths.
9) Bring your attention to your third eye chakra. As you do this, visualize the flowers turning indigo (bluish-purple). Focus on the indigo flowers for about 10 breaths.
10) Bring your attention to your crown chakra. As you do this, visualize the flowers turning purple. Focus on the purple flowers for about 10 breaths.
11) Now visualize the Sun setting and the Moon rising above the treetops.
12) Bring your attention slowly back to the present time and place. Relax for as long as you like.
13) Cross your arms over your chest and say or think, "Thank you, thank you, thank you".
