We all want to be free of the struggle over money. Sometimes the mental chatter we have playing over and over in our heads doesn't align with our desires for money, abundance, and prosperity. Have you ever been told or thought:

* Be practical
* Life is a struggle
* Rich people are greedy
* I'll never get out of debt
* Money is the root of all evil
* There isn't enough to go around
* You should get a job with security
* You can't be spiritual and have money
* You don't want to be a starving artist
* That's a nice dream, but, you should be practical
* The economy's so bad right now, we'll never get ahead
* Artists and (insert your dream here) can't make real money

These are all thoughts and sayings that pervade our cultural thinking. But they are surest way of pushing away the abundance that is your birthright. Consider these sayings and how they make you feel:

* Follow your Bliss
* Abundance is all around you
* We live in an abundant universe
* The law of attraction is always working
* You were put here to achieve your dreams
* Do what you love and the money will follow
* Your current thoughts are creating your future life
* Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve

Now compare the two lists and how you felt when you read both of them. The first list probably brought up feelings of despair and sadness, feelings that you better work hard and if you're lucky you might get enough to retire on without relying on government assistance and food stamps.

The second list probably inspired feelings of hope, inspiration, and well-being, and the belief that you CAN achieve your dreams. It's the difference between these two lists that you want to focus on.

If you are playing negative tracks in your head all day, it's the opposite of attracting prosperity into your life, instead you are actively pushing abundance away from you. So examine these two lists and explore how they make you feel. Did any of the quotes strike a primal cord in you?

Examine them and see if you can remember a time when you were trained to believe this. Were you like many people who were raised being told that life is about hard work, getting a well paying job that you hate, and working it until retirement? Or were you lucky enough to have parents who said "Do what you love and the money will follow?"

The first step to attracting prosperity into your life is exploring your current viewpoint on money, and eliminating the negative prosperity chatter. This step can take time. Review the lists, think about your inner associations with money. Insights might come to you two weeks from now, while you're driving in rush hour traffic. Send the message to yourself that you are actively retraining your belief systems about money.

The second step is determining what you WANT to be attracting into your life. If it's unclear to you, it will be unclear to the universe. It could be:

* Paying off your debts
* Saving enough to retire on
* Buying a new pair of shoes
* Having enough money to go back to school
* Having enough money for a trip to Hawaii
* Feeling that you no longer need to worry over money
* Having a meaningful career instead of a job you hate
* Freeing yourself from the credit card merry-go-round
* Saving enough for a new car, or to pay of your mortgage

Spend some time reviewing exactly what you want. Sure, everyone wants to win the lottery, but it's harder to convince our minds that it's possible. Consider a few small goals to increase your confidence.

For example, when we first started doing a lot of prosperity work we had a new age show coming up. We did positive affirmations to receive three hundred dollars in sales on the first day of the show. It worked! (and yes, we were surprised) We got almost exactly three hundred dollars. The second day of the show we upped the ante to six hundred dollars in sales. Sure enough, we were within twenty dollars of the six hundred dollar mark.

However, on the third day of the show we did affirmations for one thousand dollars in sales. It was too much. Our belief systems couldn't conceive of it, and the universe couldn't bring us that amount in sales, because we didn't beleive in our innermost core that it was possible.

So when working on your specific prosperity goals, start with something within your financial blueprint, something you believe is possible. This could be an extra hundred dollars in the mail, or enough money for a daytrip. Once you've achieved these goals using the Abundance Prosperity Reiki Technique, it will be easier to achieve larger goals.

The third step is taking action: Following intuitive nudges from the universe, doing positive affirmation techniques, and looking for subtle signs from the universe about what steps you should take to achieve abundance. That leads us to the Abundance Prosperity Reiki Technique. Try this technique out for several months. Changing your mental blueprint about money can take time. Give it time to work. You can substitute or change this technique around as much as you want. Choose your own affirmation, change the crystal type, or elimate the candle. Do what works best for you, and makes you the most comfortable, and most important of all, believe that we are all worthy of abundance, that means you too...

Abundance Prosperity Reiki Technique

* Pen and Paper
* 1 Orange Candle
* A Glass of Water
* Two Sticks of Your favorite Incense
* The Chokurei Reiki Symbol (to the left)
* A Ruby, Garnet, or other Prosperity Crystal
* A small Wooden Bowl with Earth or Sand in it

The power of a sacred space: Find a quiet place in your house. Turn of the phone and put on some soothing music. Light some of your favorite incense. Place the wooden bowl filled with earth, the glass of water, your prosperity crystal, and a small orange candle on a table in front of you. The incense represents the element of air energy. The bowl of earth represents the element of earth energy. The glass of water represents the element of water energy. The candle represents the element of fire energy and the orange color of the candle brings in the energy of the sacral chakra, the chakra in charge of creation and manifestation.

The power of the written word: Write down what you wish to manifest. Use one of our wealth affirmations or make one of your own. Here's an example: “Abundance and prosperity flow into my life. Peace flows into my life. Health flows into my life. Financial success for my new business flows into my life”. (replace the italicized phrase with your abundance wish.)

The power of Reiki energy:Draw the cho-ku-reiki symbol on the piece of paper. This will bring in the universal white light energy that is Reiki into your abundance prayer, magnifying it's strength.

The power of gratitude:Write "Thank you for blessing my new business with financial success."(replace the italicized phrase with your abundance wish.)This brings in the energy of gratitude.

The power of the spoken word: Read your abundance prosperity reiki affirmation out loud three times. The spoken word magnifies everything ten-fold.

The power of belief: Feel your abundance wish already manifested and present in your life. Visualize your life as it will be when you have achieved your abundance wish. Feel the joy and gratitude that it brings into your life now that you have it.

The power of crystals: Pick up your abundance prosperity reiki crystal and hold it clasped between both of your hands. Feel it's vibrations emanating into your hands. Wrap the abundance prayer sheet around the crystal and continue holding both the paper and the crystal between your hands.

The power of toning:Take four deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth. Focus on the paper and the crystal and begin toning OM. Repeat the OM twelve times.

The power of water: Drink the water in the glass. Masaro Emoto has proven that energetic vibrations transfer to water. Spirit will now orchestrate your universe to send you all of the abundance and prosperity that you have asked for.

The power of consistency: Every day, until your Abundance Prosperity Reiki Affirmation has been manifested, pull out the abundance paper you created and speak the abundance affirmation out loud. Feel the abundance vibrating into your life every time you say it.
