I walk through the forest and I hear mystic spirit voices. I hear them in the wind whispering in the treetops. I hear them in the scurrying of small animals. I listen closely and hear mystic spirit voices in the heartbeat of the beautiful planet I call home. The voice of the Mother whispers and the Sun smiles. The Father shines his light upon the world and the Earth is happy. All is well.

Mystic spirit voices guide me through the world. They speak very softly, gently. The voices guide me to do what is right. The voices are a flawless compass that always guide me back to who and what I really am.

The mystic spirit voices make me feel calm and peaceful. They are like a warm blanket on a wintry night. They are the soft, loving arms of my Mother; holding me, reassuring me, reminding me that I am loved. They are the strong, loving arms of my Father; protecting me, guiding me through a world of mystery. Allowing me to proceed without fear. Freedom to love and be loved.

I smile at the world and the world smiles back at me. We have an understanding. I express my gratitude to the world. I look forward to what it has in store for me. I am grateful for every day I wake up. I listen to the Mystic Spirit Voices and I smile.

I am Love. I am Happiness. I am.

Apr 2, 2008, April's Spiritual Focus: Transformations

I saw my first butterfly of the Spring season yesterday. It flew to me and circled around me twice before flitting off on other adventures. I appreciated this Nature Spirit coming to visit me.

As I reflected on the butterfly, I thought about the meaning behind the simple encounter:

The energy of butterflies is transformation. Throughout their life span they experience complete transformation from a caterpillar to a butterfly. As humans we don't know what the transformation is like for them, but we do know it is a magical mystery to behold.

The energy of transformation is that of allowing for complete and total change. Allowing is the imperative word. Change happens all the time, to all of us. It is one of the only constants in life. We can choose to embrace change into our lives and eagerly await our own transformation, or we can fight against change struggling to hold on to old energies, thought patterns, and relationships that may be past their time.

This month, lets focus on meeting the change in our lives with grace, courage, and anticipation. The universe is watching out for each and every one of us. What will unfold is for our highest and greatest good.

So keep the energy of transformation with you as you travel through spring this year, and allow for the new leaves of your life to open up, even as you let go of last year's leaves.

* Writing this post reminded me of a beautiful book I read as a child called Hope for the Flowers. If you get a chance, pick up a copy and read it. It has a beautiful message about love, family, and life priorities. I must have read it a hundred times growing up.

Mar 30, 2008, Gifts from the Universe

Today a complete stranger gave me a gift of a sodalite crystal. The person had no knowledge of the fact that I love crystals and have been working with them for years.

The stone in question was a small tumbled sodalite. My first thought was gratitude towards the giver and my second thought was what message is the universe sharing with me.

Sodalite is one of the first stones I ever started working with. It is a 5th chakra stone (throat chakra), known for aiding people with communication.

It seems the universe wants me to take some time in my life to focus on communicating. As a result of this unexpected gift, I plan on taking more time sharing and communicating with my friends and loved ones, and complete strangers as well.

Have you experienced unexpected gifts or events that seem to pop up from out of the blue? It could be a gift from the universe, a quiet message to focus on something in particular.

Pay attention to these random occurences. They are often not random at all, but a cue from divine Spirit on a certain direction to head, or an issue that should be worked on.

Here's my little gift to you: May your day be blessed with an abundance of good friends, good times, and good energy. May your day be blessed with clear, heartfelt communication and a deeper connection with those in your life.

Where did Meditation Originate? This question has been on my mind for a long time, and this week I finally decided to find out. In fact, I went ahead and devoted an entire page to answering the question where did meditation originate.

Basically, archeologists have found evidence of meditation in Hindu sacred texts that date back approximately 5,000 years in the region of India. Written records in India started around that time, so it appears very likely that the origins of meditation date back even further. We've had so many request for information on chakras, chakra healing, and chakra charts that we've decided to add a new section to the energy healing website devoted to the subject.

We're busy hard at work on it, and you can expect to see it being unveiled within the next 2 months. To begin we plan on having seven individual pages devoted to each one of the seven chakras and seven more pages on crystals associated with each of the chakras. We are also going to add at least one chakra chart for quick and easy viewing of each of the chakras and their characteristics.

We're looking for viewer comments now while we're in the planning stages, so if there is some specific chakra information you'd like to see listed, let us know so we can add that content! Just send us a comment on the contact form.

-Make a date with yourself. Schedule one whole day just for you. Treat yourself to a few of your favorite things. These can be simple and inexpensive, like reading a book in bed or lavish, like a visit to a day spa.

-Make a monthly practice of earth sitting. Earth sitting is a very simple practice that consists of taking time to ground with the energies of the Earth Mother. Simply find a tranquil spot in nature. It could be your backyard, at the park, on a cliff, in a meadow, by a riverbank, just make sure it "feels good" to you. Lay out a picnic blanket on the ground and sit down. That's it! It's amazing how many of us spend years without having contact with the earth. It's a sign of how out-of-whack our modern culture is that this could happen. Make a commitment to sit on the ground once a month, even if it's just for five minutes. You'll be amazed at the messages the earth mother will whisper in your ear through the rustling of leaves and skittering of squirrels. Earth sitting is especially good when you feel ungrounded, are having difficulty focusing and concentrating, feel disconnected from your own life, or feel out of balance.

-Try three new energy healing therapies this year. Ever had radiant heart therapy? What about a sound session with crystal singing bowls? Maybe some emotional freedom technique. You might be surprised at what you discover.

-Stretch. Commit to stretching or doing Yoga one time a week. The simple act of stretching will help keep your energy meridians clear. This results in less imbalances on the physical, emotional and spiritual levels. Who knew touching your toes could be so powerful! If you haven't stretched in years, start slow and do five or ten minutes. I promise you'll be amazed at what this simple act will do for your life, your energy levels, and your state of mind.

-Get a massage! If you're not sure you want to spend the money on a massage therapy session, then trade with a friend or a loved one. Footie rubs count too! There's nothing like a massage to feel like you're treating yourself right. You deserve it so indulge! Commit to a minimum of two massages this year. Once a month is even better.

-Practice the fifth portion of the Reiki five spiritual principals. "Just for Today, I will practice Kindness." Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki, envisioned Reiki as not just a healing method to promote physical health, but as a spiritual practice that could balance a person's life and bring them to a higher state of vibration. His fifth tenet on kindness is one we could use more of! So consider focusing on this concept one day a week. When you begin to feel frustrated, bring in the energy of kindness and see how it can transform your life.

2008 To Do List This isn't your average to-do list! The two of us here at www.energy-healing-info.com thought we'd put together some good goals for 2008, goals that will truly enrich your life. So throw away your boring to-do list and use this one instead! You might just find your life transformed by 2009.

-Hug someone every day.

-Smile at a stranger.

-Laugh.

-Light some candles, put on some aromatherapy oils and take a long luxuriating soak in the tub.

-Practice loving-kindness. Spend some time projecting loving energy to those you love and those you hate! You'll be amazed at what this simple practice can do for your ability to forgive, balance and ground.

-Experience pet therapy. Enjoy a purring kitty on your lap or take a dog for a hike in the woods. Borrow a pet from a friend if you don't have one of your own. Animals have the gift of unconditional love and the ability to "live in the moment". We can all learn something from these furry angels.

-Try ten new fruits and vegetables this year. Fresh organic produce is living food. Every time you eat a piece of raw produce you're providing your body with life force energy. Ever had a pummelo? What about a jerusalem artichoke? Visit your local health food store and take a trip to an exciting new health destination.

-Compliment your honey every day. It will bring new dimensions to your relationship and foster a closer bond.

-Have a dress up party. Put on your favorite clothes, treat yourself like a king or queen and go out and dance, dance, dance the night away.

-Work less. Play more. Those last two are worth repeating. Work less. Play more.... The United States and Japan work the longest hours and have the least vacation time of every one on the whole planet. It's time to stop working so hard to "get ahead" and revel in life's little joys that can only be experienced with a little time off. So go ahead, schedule a little more vacation time, take some more three day weekends. Your life is waiting. It's at the park or the beach or the little league game.

As I was writing out a new section of our website today, one focusing on chakra healing that will feature detailed chakra charts and a chakra quiz for determining how balanced your chakra system is, I glanced out of the window in front of my computer. It’s on the upstairs of our cabin and gives me a beautiful view of the treeline on our five acres. Anyways, something caught my eye and I noticed through the lightly falling snow, a large hawk perched on an uppermost branch of a tree not fifty feet from our house.

Moments like these make me pause and show my gratitude for the abundance of joys in my life. Thank you brother hawk for helping me with my writing, and showing me that continuing with the energy healing information website is indeed the right path for my journey.

Mar 4, 2008, Fourth Reiki Spiritual Principle

Welcome to the first entry of the Energy Healing Info Blog. A review of one of the Reiki Five Spiritual Principals, Do Your Work Honestly. I am new to the whole blog thing but love to write and feel that it is important to Speak My Truth. I capitalized it because I wanted to emphasize my point. Always tell the truth. There is never a good time to lie. To believe otherwise is to fall into the trap of believing that lying has integrity. Sounds silly: the idea that lying represents integrity or builds honor. Telling the truth represents integrity. Telling the truth builds honor. Do you trust people who lie? That, by the way, is a rhetorical question. Do you, on the other hand, like to be around people you trust? Kind of obvious when you think about it that way, isn't it?

Always Speak Your Truth. I hear the term, Little White Lie, and I laugh. What the hell does that mean? Are people really implying that there is something good about dishonesty? I have heard it used a lot in the name of protecting people. From what. The truth? Oh, how terrible an idea that is. That people need to be protected from the truth. What are we teaching them if not the truth? Lies. Gee, that sounds swell, doesn't it? Teach people to lie in order to make them better people. Fantastic concept. Let's write that down so we don't forget it.

Let's focus on the positive now. Speaking the Truth. Honesty. Integrity. Impeccability to one's word. Ahh...that feels better, doesn't it? Again, rhetorical question.

Let’s look at this energetically: Have you been hurt by lies? Do you have a friend that you love to talk to because you can always trust them to tell the truth? I feel that a person who lies to me is actively engaging in an energetic struggle to take my energy. It's like being punched in the aura. It's not much better than being socked in the chin. My favorite response to someone lying to me is to simply laugh. I laugh a lot anyway, but laughing at a lie renders it powerless. It's a great trick, I highly recommend it.

Speaking Your Truth is great for awakening the throat chakra. It can also help to remove any imbalances which may exist in the aura that are centered around honesty and personal power. As a naturopathic healer, I believe that stagnancy in the throat chakra may be the emotional root cause to underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). Learning to be proud of what you have to say, along with a good naturopathic product that supports the thyroid gland, could take you far along the path towards healing the imbalance.
